TERREPOWER to Showcase Product and Technology Innovation at AAPEX 2026 with Remy BAS Hybrid Unit, New Part Numbers and the Launch of Mobile S.T.A.R.T. Diagnostic App

Canada NewsWire

DAPHNE, Ala., Oct. 26, 2026 /CNW/ -- TERREPOWER, formerly BBB Industries, a multi-national pure play aftermarket leader in sustainable manufacturing, will showcase two new innovations at AAPEX 2026: the Remy Belt Alternator Starter (BAS) for 48V mild hybrid vehicles and the mobile version of S.T.A.R.T. (Smart Troubleshooting And Resolution Tool), the company's first in-house mobile diagnostic application.

TERREPOWER, a multi-national pure play aftermarket leader in sustainable manufacturing, will showcase new innovations.

The company will also highlight a major expansion of its steering and braking portfolio, including 92 new electric power steering part numbers and the planned 2027 expansion of its NuGeon 100% new brake caliper line to more than 1,800 SKUs.

"Today's aftermarket is changing quickly as new vehicle technologies enter the repair cycle and technicians face increasingly complex diagnostic challenges," said Duncan Gillis, CEO of TERREPOWER. "Innovation for TERREPOWER means bringing new parts to market as well as technologies to help our customers solve the entire repair. The Remy BAS and S.T.A.R.T. app demonstrate how we are complementing scalable sustainable manufacturing of automotive components with user-friendly tools to help our customers keep vehicles on the road longer."

Innovation for the Growing Hybrid Aftermarket

The Remy BAS, a belt-driven motor-generator for 48V mild hybrids that combines starter and generator functionality, will be featured in the AAPEX New Product Showcase.  TERREPOWER is the first to introduce a remanufactured BAS solution for North American aftermarket distribution for Ram 1500 eTorque and Audi 48V mild hybrid applications.

As mild hybrid vehicles move beyond their original warranty periods, TERREPOWER is providing the aftermarket with an alternative to constrained OE supply. The Remy BAS is built on the original OE design and remanufactured through a validated process using premium, qualified components, rigorous manufacturing controls and validation testing to restore the unit to its original OE performance level. It supports stop-start operation, captures energy during braking and deceleration, and provides torque assist.

Initial coverage includes H80002 for 2019–2024 Ram 1500 5.7L V8 eTorque applications and H80001 for 2020–2025 Audi 48v mild hybrid applications.

The core-exchange remanufacturing process begins with a returned unit that is disassembled and inspected, with components replaced or renewed, and rebuilt to its original OE design. By keeping serviceable metal and electronic components in circulation, the process reduces raw material extraction, energy consumption and automotive electrical components sent to landfill compared with manufacturing an equivalent new unit.

TERREPOWER will support the introduction with sales materials, e-catalog support, product videos and training modules with quizzes to help partners prepare counter staff and technicians for the emerging hybrid repair opportunity.

Expanding Aftermarket Coverage with New Brake Caliper and EPS Solutions

TERREPOWER will also preview a major expansion of its NuGeon new brake caliper line, with more than 1,800 caliper SKUs scheduled for release in 2027. The NuGeon new calipers are designed to simplify stocking and installation.

Additionally, TERREPOWER is expanding its electric power steering (EPS) program with 92 new part numbers covering more than 20.2 million vehicles in operation in the U.S. and more than 226,000 in Canada.

Innovation Beyond the Part with  S.T.A.R.T. Mobile App

Designed for technicians, TERREPOWER's S.T.A.R.T. app guides users through a structured diagnostic process to help identify the root cause of a failure before a replacement component is installed, with the goal of helping prevent repeat repairs and returns. The mobile version launches with turbocharger troubleshooting, with alternator and starter capabilities planned before the end of 2026.

Features include:

  • Symptom-based troubleshooting by product type
  • Diagnostic trouble code lookup, including codes such as P0299 turbo underboost
  • Direct access to TechEyeQ remote assistance by phone or email

"S.T.A.R.T. is another example of how we're thinking beyond the replacement part," Gillis said. "Giving technicians better diagnostic support can help them identify the underlying problem before installing a new component. That means greater confidence in the repair for technicians, distributors and ultimately the vehicle owner."

S.T.A.R.T. is available as TERREPOWER S.T.A.R.T on the Apple App Store for iPhone, iPad and Mac and on Google Play for Android devices. Alternator and starter troubleshooting is also available through TERREPOWER's expanded desktop application at www.partinstall.com/start

A Broader Commitment to Aftermarket Innovation

Together, Remy BAS , S.T.A.R.T. and a portfolio of new parts demonstrate TERREPOWER's approach to innovation: combining high-quality sustainably manufactured products with the technology, training and resources customers need to successfully diagnose, sell and install them. The combined innovation of both the part and the repair experience reflects the company's approach captured in its recently debuted tagline, "Reimagine What's Possible."

TERREPOWER will use this year's event to highlight solutions across rotating electrical, turbochargers, braking, steering and EV battery lifecycle services, reinforcing the breadth of the company's aftermarket offering.
