REGINA, SK, Nov. 4, 2026 /CNW/ -- The Society of United Professionals ("the Society") is proud to welcome the Regina Civic Middle Management Association ("RCMMA"), which represents 441 City of Regina and Mobius Benefits Administrators employees, to the Society's membership. RCMMA members voted overwhelmingly to join the Society, which will make the Society the official bargaining and labour relations agent for these municipal employees.
"We are thrilled to welcome this group of fantastic civic management professionals to our union," said Society President Rebecca Caron. "We believe that both of our organizations are now stronger, and we look forward to giving our newest members the kind of high-quality, professional representation that the Society is proud to offer."
The merger vote passed overwhelmingly with 84% of RCMMA members voting to join the Society. 88% of all SCMMA members cast a ballot, with voting conducted through secure online balloting.
"We are very pleased to see our members vote strongly in support of joining the Society," said RCMMA President Ian Cantello. "It is the belief of RCMMA's leadership that becoming part of a stronger, professional, and better-resourced union, like the Society, will greatly benefit our members in the workplace and at the bargaining table."
With the joining of RCMMA, the Society now represents close to 900 members across both major municipalities in Saskatchewan.
